I am conversationally fluent in German, a beginner in Korean, and beginner in Vietnamese. My passion is education and learning. I have studied abroad in Germany (Aug 2009-June 2010) and South Korea (Aug 2012-Dec 2012) .
I am planning to go to grad school for teacher education where I will be endorsed for social studies and ELL. My ultimate goal is to create curriculums that reflect our diverse history!
My hobbies include sewing, DIY beauty products, being outdoors, and pageantry.
Finally, I am a vegan! Since deciding to become vegan for environmental reasons, I've realized that a lot of people get defensive when I describe myself as much. It was my decision to go vegan after a very long transition with meat and dairy products and also a strong attachment to our environment. As a vegan I no longer use anything that comes from an animal, including bees. It's just one way I choose lower my carbon footprint and live a greener life. It's not something for everyone but I hope my blog inspires you to try some new foods and get out of your comfort zone! Here's a link to the full blog about why I went vegan.
