One of the benefits to a new school year, a new month, a day is that you have the opportunity to create change for yourself and your community. This past year I've really worked at becoming the best pageant girl I could be while still doing school and work. I've decided to not compete for awhile, at least 6 months, to really focus on schooling and my future. At 23, I am finally set to graduate from undergrad after a turbulent college career and I couldn't be prouder. There is nothing more that I would like to do than raise my GPA in my final quarters. At 23, I am applying to grad school and have decided to become an educator. I am almost finished with my endorsement courses to teach social studies at a secondary school level. With this I have decided to apply to some of the top teaching schools in the United States where I hope to learn how to not only educate but inspire and help develop the community I work in. At 23, I hope to start saving up quite a bit of cash because the future is coming in fast. Not only am I thinking about paying off my student loans and paying for grad school but I've got to save for graduation trips, spring breaks because I won't be young forever. I've got to save for my one day wedding and my future home. At 23, I hope to increase my presence on the internet to help others transition into veganism easier. With this presence I hope to show that all natural, locally made, vegan products are not only a better ethical decision but a product that gives more than traditional ones. I hope to prove that this lifestyle isn't ridiculously difficult and that vegans aren't a bunch of angry carnivore-haters. | Part of my new start was cutting my hair off which I had been wanting to do for half a year now! |
Most importantly, as I finish up the second half of 23, I hope to be even happier and spend even more time with my friends and family. Being an independent, strong, modern woman is fantastic but it can be lonely striving and working after your goals by yourself. The nights in with your girlfriends, breakfast with your dad, and dates all contribute to a better you, even if you're not creating your master plan to success.
