So these past few days I've been really struggling with being a vegan, but not how one might think I've been struggling. First, when being a vegan it's critical that we pay attention to our bodies and be aware of what we are eating. This week I've just been going with the flow and working hard to get everything done and with that, I haven't been paying attention to my health (except working out for that bikini competition!). Imagine my surprise when I wanted to hit up Wendy's for a Chicken Pub Burger, whatever that is. I don't even like Wendy's, I've never had a Chicken Pub Burger, and I've been eating vegan for almost 2 months now. Turns out I wasn't getting enough protein.
I was also reading a vegan blog and they were so adamant about people keeping they're old cosmetics that aren't vegan and it made me feel very guilty. I know that keeping my make-up for sustainable reasons is okay but it's not that I want to keep them, I just can't afford to replace everything. The more I thought about it, the more I realized that I just need to keep pushing forward and am selling all of my old cosmetics.
I am going to keep moving forward :)
